Learning Services has provided comprehensive post acute neuro-rehabilitation services to injured workers for over 25 years. Our success is based on the operating principle of creating an alignment of expectations with our customers. This approach enables us to meet the challenges, concerns, and needs of all individuals involved in catastrophic work injuries. The goal for each individual is the achievement of the highest level of functioning in the least restrictive environment. For people sustaining industrial injuries, this also means the delivery of the appropriate services at the right time, resulting in effective and cost efficient services.
In treating injured workers, we deliver intervention focused on functional skill acquisition in all aspects of life. This focus includes developing those skills needed to engage in productive activity or a return to the previous work setting. Our teams also address the other factors that can increase the total cost of the claim such as medications, supervision, community mobility, and personal assistance.
The composition of the treatment team is specific for each person and projected outcome. In addition to the injured worker and family, other members of the team may include the workers compensation adjuster, nurse case manager, employer, and treating physician. Because the treatment team composition varies from person to person, each individualized treatment plan will vary in cost. The cost of each plan is negotiated and agreed upon prior to admission, and continues to be modified as the services are altered.
