Over the years, Learning Services has worked with many financial guardians to create private pay treatment plans. We are familiar with the various types of contractual agreements utilized for this type of payment and have access to resources in the community for those needing legal assistance. Our Director of Admissions is available to discuss all options for these types of arrangements and works closely with the program Case Manager to ensure the team understands the expectations of all involved parties.
Auto and motorcycle accidents are one of the leading causes of traumatic brain injuries and in many cases, places the auto carrier as the primary funding source for medical care. Learning Services has worked with countless carriers to provide the necessary rehabilitation services to the injured person of these accidents. As with all other forms of insurance, we work closely with claims adjusters to deliver outcome driven treatment plans within the negotiated time frame. Our commitment is to provide the necessary services at the right time, not only ensuring continued progress is made, but that the available funding is used judiciously.
These cases often lead to litigation, requiring expert documentation and testimonies. Our therapists have the experience and credentials to provide such documentation through the normal course of assessment and treatment.
Injuries can happen anywhere and when it involves a business or public place, the liability carrier becomes involved. When a catastrophic injury occurs, many departments become involved in the management of the medical care. At the core of each Learning Services treatment team is the case manager. Their job is to coordinate and communicate with everyone involved in the case. They become the conduit of information back and forth between the outside parties, the injured person, family and the treatment team.
The critical questions that are always raised with these types of cases are “what is the final outcome and how much will it cost”? We understand that this is a priority concern for the liability adjusters and risk managers involved. We provide a projected outcome and length of treatment at the completion of the initial assessment. This information can then be used to make cost estimations for the post acute rehabilitation portion of the overall medical expenses and settlements.
