Mr. Preston taught case management and life care planning as an adjunct professor in the Division of Rehabilitation Psychology and Counseling at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has published and presented extensively on the issues of rehabilitation and learning capacity for persons with acquired brain injury, private rehabilitation issues and ethics in private rehabilitation.

Located in a quiet neighborhood in east Raleigh, this twelve-bed program offers easy access to Wake Med Rehabilitation Hospital, North Carolina State University ,and greater downtown Raleigh. This program provides a range of services and activities that draw upon the many resources available in the community.

We have earned accreditation from the prestigious Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), which sets high standards for programs in the brain injury care industry. Our River Ridge House has achieved a 3 year accreditation from CARF under the classification: Residential Rehabilitation Programs: Brain Injury Programs (Adult).
